Fabulous vintage Virga Play-mates doll "Dinner" is a straight-leg walking doll with a gorgeous, tosca mohair flip. Her clothes are crisp and clean and the box is correctly marked P-822 DINNER/198 (see photo). This cute Virga wears a bright fuchsia pink nylon dress with gold and cream bodice, and gold trim at the hem (the back of the skirt has color fading on the left side due to laying flat - see picture), white panties, white nylon socks and white bow shoes. On her head is a small horsehair hat with tiny vintage flowers (unattached, but can be poked through the hat). She has a beautiful face with bright blue eyes and molded lashes that open and close freely. Her walker works (though loose) and her arms hold a pose. There are two factory flaws, both shown in the picture. Documented in a 1957 catalog photo on p.207 of Small Dolls of the 40s & 50s by Carol Stover.

Note: Box comes with original wire doll holder to hold the doll inside. The lid has some moderate damage; a name written on the top corner and what looks to be a pencil hole mark, plus a few other scuffs.
