Ready to skate into your heart is this wonderful 1956 Cosmopolitan MLW Ginger Roller Skater. This medium-eyed Ginger doll has pristine, thick honey-blonde braids tied with pink ribbons, blue molded-lash sleep eyes that need a slight nudge to open/close, painted brows and blushed cheeks. Her legs swing back and forth easily, but her head only turns on occasion with the walking mechanism.
Her adorable two-piece skating outfit is #552 from the 1956 Activity Series and consists of a thick, soft, pink knit top with with navy signature "G" on the front, a tagged navy cotton felt skirt with pink trim, and a matching pink knit cap with white pom pom. Both the top and skirt close in the back with silver key snaps. Under her skirt, Ginger wears a pair of pink nylon panties with loopy trim (small stitch in back seam), minty pink nylon socks (no runs or holes) and minty white roller skates. This Ginger is from my personal collection and a true treasure of the times!
