From the Madame Alexander International Series is this sweet 1966-67 Alexander-kins Thailand. As a child my grandmother started my collection of International dolls and this doll was one of my personal collection. It has been stored for over 50 years in a box and still looks minty to this day!
The doll is marked ALEX on her back and a bent-knee NON-walker. She has a sweet face with dark skin tone, perfect black wig, blushed cheeks and dark brown eyes that open and close easily. Her knees do bend, but her body feels a little loose to me, though she does display well with a stand (which will be included).
She is dressed in a traditional costume with aqua satin balloon pants trimmed in gold braid and a jeweled ornament at the waist. Elaborate, tagged gold and white satin jeweled top, gold hat with ribbons and flowers and gold open-toed sandals.
There are many newer dolls from the 70s on the market, but rarely do you find such a nice example of the first production #767 from the 60s. She is darling and in excellent pre-owned condition with her original "Friends from Foreign Lands" hand tag!
