From my personal collection is this beautiful MIB vintage blonde SLW Alexander-kins wearing a minty 1953 “Wendy’s Favorite Fashion” #342. Wendy is marked on her back ALEX and is absolutely stunning! She has a beautiful untouched triple-stitched shiny light blonde wig, soft matte complexion with rosy cheeks and dark blue eyes that open and close easily. Her walker works, but loosely.
Wendy’s 1953 costume is minty crisp and consists of a two-piece white and red polka-dot organdy pinafore dress with lace trim. The pinafore has two grommets and ties in the back. The dress is tagged "Alexander-kins." Under her dress is her crisp organdy slip and satin panties with tight elastic, white socks and red fuzzy side-snap shoes with smooth bottoms. On her head, she wears a white straw hat with red & yellow flowers. She is as fresh and welcome as a spring day and been a favorite in my collection for years!
This exceptional Wendy comes with her original wrist tag and box marked 100 with the original price of $2.00. The box is in excellent condition with just some darkening of the lid. A doll stand will be included. Pictured on p.20 of "The World of Alexanderkins" by Patricia Smith.
